Here's a recap of the Oahu Olmstead family reunion. I know it was a while ago now, but some of us don't just go on vacation 2 days after we get back from vacation, we have to work. This is the soonest I could post. Here you have it, the Olmstead family at their best---
Oahu 08 was probably the best vacation for all involved. The weather was perfect, the house was huge and amazing and the company was great. We stayed in a house on the beach, it doesn't get much better than that. Thanks to Mom and Dad for putting the reunion together. We have the best parents ever and can't wait for the next reunion.
We met up w/ the Wilton Ohana at the beach right next to our house. It was a great day and really nice to get to spend time with a favorite family of ours. Here is Mike Wilton, Kuulei, Trudy, Rick and kids...

Olmstead family picture. First one since a long long time. This was after church, our house was just down the street from the temple.

Waimae Bay. We spent most of the day playing in the water, snorkeling w/ sea turtles and jumping off the rock. It was a fun time for all. You can see the rock we jump off of in the back of the picture.

Matsumotos was the place to be for most of the week. Whenever we had the chance, you could find up there or at Angel's in Laie. Waiting in line at Matsumotos is not a problem, their shaved ice is definitely worth it.

SHARKS COVE- The best snorkeling of the trip was done at Sharks cove. At any give time you could see hundreds of fish, a few sea turtles, eels and of course... sharks. We only saw one great white though so it wasn't that big of a deal. Kidding.

Hanama Bay is the other place we snorkeled. It was beautiful but a little claustrophobic for a certain few who didn't like swimming with the reef a couple feet away from their face. Sea turtles were the common theme again and most of the time spent there was in the water.
SEA LIFE PARK- We spend half of a day at Sea Life Park. As you can tell in the 2nd picture, Mom decided she wanted to swim w/ the fish and sting rays. So she jumped right in and felt right at home! She's crazy! J/k You didn't really believe that did you?

Precious.

Pipeline Beach.
This is our porch in our backyard. It was a pretty amazing view as you can imagine.
The gathering place...

Here's a centipede that decided it wanted to sleep in our house. Mom didn't like that very much and although she couldn't kill it with a knife because it was too fast, Brian got it with a frying pan!
Surfing it up in our backyard!

Better luck next time KJ.... :)
