Much needed vacation... Cozumel, Mexico

For those of you dying to know how our trip to Mexico went, here are a few photos to share with you. I won't go into many details about all the photos, just know we had a great time and if you want some funny stories, just call T, H or N and they can fill you in. :)

While driving along this random town off of the main road that leads to Chichen Itza, we ran into the following church...

Same random town, we drove through Carpinteria for a split second!

This LDS church is brand spanking new, I'm talking the tags were still on the kitchen appliances in the kitchen. I know because I walked inside the church. One of the most beautiful churhes I have ever seen in a very poor town.

This is where we were headed... Ek Balam(translated to mean "The Black Jaguar" . Mayan ruins that are still open to walk up, down, all around, unlike Chichen Itza where they have since stopped the public from walking on the ruins. This was an amazing temple, it's larger than the main temple at Chichen Itza which is hard to believe.

The view from the top or 106 steps. One more death from climbling the stairs and they are going to close off the ruins to the public. One of the highlights of our trip.

Chichen Itza. Amazing. This picture is in front of Kukulcan's Pyramid. We really enjoyed our tour of the ruins, and highly recommend if anyone is interested to see Chichen Itza to do it. The legends of the possibilities of these Mayan ruins relating to the Book of Mormon is very powerful.

A possible baptisimal font? That's what our tour guide said...

T/R headed down to see the Cenote Zaci .

This one (Cenote Ikil) was T's favorite.

Cenote Samuel. We hit up 4 Cenotes on the way back from Chichen Itza, they were each amazingly beautiful in their own way.

If you are interested in details of the trip, don't ask R, he doesn't remember much, this is what he spent a lot of the trip doing....

Waiting to go snorkeling in Cozumel.

Ringing in the New Year!!!

Tulum, Mayan Ruins on the coast.

Ever wonder what T looks like driving a jeep? See video below. Great times, great times. :)
