I went to church with Ginger and family and enjoyed their Military Branch. Got to experience firsthand the emotions of servicemen returning to and leaving their families due to deployment. Definitely has given me a greater appreciation for those who serve our country. Got to shake hands and personally thank a newly returned soldier for defending freedom.
In the afternoon the children were excited to share their love of sea glassing in Japan. Many beaches in this area are non-swimming beaches due to swift current and treacherous waters and drop offs. So, to enjoy the beach many people here search the sand and rocks for treasures- the most precious is sea glass (picture to come soon). Here we are at the beginning of our adventure.
Even though the conditions were not ideal for sea glassing, we still managed to find many small pieces and gather quite a collection of shells and a couple of star fish.
