Aburi-An Restaurant

On Friday night Ginger invited me to a going away dinner at a local Japanese restaurant for one of their deploying pilot friends. Here we are at the table. We are sitting on the floor with our feet in a sunken space with a heated pad. I had noodles and a salad. Ginger had the house salad, spring rolls, and edamame. Ryan had a rice bowl (a stone bowl with rice, extras, and a raw egg that was cooked from the heat once you stirred it in) and a little of the edamame. For dessert we tried the sweet potatoes with maple syrup.
This was a salad that shocked us all by its portion size. It was $2.70.
And just for kicks, the OB-GYN of the group ordered the pig uterus and shared it with us all. Basically no one liked it one bit. It was very rubbery.
After dinner I went home to bed while Ryan and Ginger went to game night with the rest of the group.
